The
Division provides instruction leading to Baccalaureate Degrees through
the School of Business, School
of Education, School
of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences and the School
of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. The General
Education core focuses on communication, technology, and liberal arts
studies. Major and support courses reflect current trends, concepts,
and technology in the disciplines while free electives allow further
well-roundedness to prepare students for high level career positions
in their major fields and post baccalaureate studies. Quality faculty
are recruited, provided orientation to the nature and mission of the
college, engaged in continuous faculty development, and provided appropriate
instructional resources so that they can provide relevant and innovated
instruction to students. Major program goals for the division over the
next five years include the addition of two undergraduate majors; discipline
accreditation of all major programs in which accreditation is available;
development of masters degrees; and analysis, planning and preparation
to take advantage of opportunities in continuing education distance learning
and off-campus sites.
